Responsibilities

  • Audit engineers and sites to ensure compliance with electrical standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to engineers and clients.
  • Deal with customer queries and provide expert advice.
  • Ensure compliance with BS 7671 standards.
  • Travel for site visits as needed.

Job description

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading electrical compliance company based in Cheltenham, dedicated to providing top-notch services to clients throughout the UK. Due to company expansion, we are looking to recruit a Technical Manager with experience reviewing and qualifying electrical reports, preparing quotations following unsatisfactory EICRs, carrying out site assessments, and providing technical guidance in line with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations). This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer looking to move off the tools and into an office-based role.

Salary & Working Hours

Salary: £50,000 per annum plus bonus. (£55k+OTE)

Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Site visits throughout UK required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and qualifying EICRs and other electrical reports.
  • Preparing accurate remedial quotations for non-compliant installations.
  • Auditing engineers and sites to ensure compliance with electrical standards.
  • Guidance and training to engineers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Dealing with customer queries and providing expert advice and resolutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and industry standards.
  • Visits to sites / engineers throughout the UK so some travel will be required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 18th Edition Qualified.
  • City and Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 certification (or equivalent)
  • NVQ level 3 / AM2
  • Proven experience in auditing engineers and sites.
  • Experience in preparing quotations and reviewing EICRs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • UK drivers' licence
