We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Technical Manager to lead our Core Facilities team. Based in the heart of a vibrant, modern university, this is your opportunity to support cutting edge research, teaching, and innovation by managing critical research infrastructure and expert technical staff.
As Technical Manager for Core Facilities, you'll lead a team of technical staff, delivering high-quality support for research innovation, research informed teaching and commercial activity. You'll oversee specialist spaces and equipment, manage health and safety, and ensure services are aligned with academic needs and university strategy.
Working in close partnership with academic and professional services colleagues, you'll help shape our future technical strategy—keeping our services adaptable, aligned to university priorities, and responsive to sector developments.
You'll also represent Manchester Met in external networks and user groups, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation.
