Job description

Job Title: Technical Coordinator
Location: Reading
Contract: 3-Month Contract | Inside IR35

We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Coordinator to join a busy residential development team, based from their Reading office, on an initial 3-month contract operating inside IR35.

In this role, you will coordinate all technical information between external consultants and internal departments throughout the design and construction process. You will ensure approvals are secured and information is issued accurately and on time to enable a prompt start on site and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical information across the design and construction lifecycle
  • Ensure drawings and details are accurate, compliant, and commercially suitable
  • Chair and coordinate design team meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage planning conditions, Building Control, and warranty submissions
  • Liaise with consultants, statutory bodies, and internal teams to progress technical matters
  • Maintain drawings and documentation on the Viewpoint platform
  • Support Commercial and Buying teams with subcontractor design reviews
  • Attend site meetings and visits to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure cost-effective design solutions, buildability, and regulatory compliance
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Background in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or similar
  • Experience within the residential housing sector
  • Strong knowledge of Section 38 and Section 104 agreements
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Confident communicator, able to challenge decisions where required
  • Proficient in MS Office and 4Projects Viewpoint

Desirable
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline
  • CAD / Revit experience
