Our client, a specialist consultancy delivering IFS solutions to a wide range of external customers, is seeking an experienced IFS Service & Maintenance Consultant . You will lead client-facing engagements focused on designing, configuring, and delivering best-practice solutions within the IFS Service & Maintenance module and its connected functional areas.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in IFS Service & Maintenance, a strong understanding of the module’s touchpoints across the wider IFS ecosystem, and hands‑on experience completing at least one full end‑to‑end IFS implementation where Service & Maintenance was the primary module. This role suits someone who thrives in a consultancy environment and enjoys influencing processes, shaping solutions, and driving delivery success for multiple clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of the IFS Service & Maintenance module across multiple client engagements.
- Facilitate discovery workshops to understand client service operations, maintenance processes, asset lifecycles, and field service requirements.
- Advise clients on best‑practice use of IFS Service & Maintenance, ensuring scalable and future‑ready process design.
- Map and document “as‑is” and “to‑be” service and maintenance processes, system interactions, and data flows.
- Configure Service & Maintenance functionality including work orders, asset management, preventive maintenance, scheduling, service contracts, and mobile service elements.
- Produce high‑quality functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
- Manage full implementation lifecycle activities, including system configuration, testing support (SIT / UAT), data migration input, cutover planning, and go‑live readiness.
- Ensure strong integration across connected IFS modules such as Inventory, Projects, Procurement, HR, and Finance.
- Provide expert training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to client teams to ensure strong adoption and long‑term capability.
- Support internal consultancy initiatives including methodology refinement, tooling improvements, and delivery standards.
- Participate in pre‑sales discussions when required, helping shape solution scopes and provide domain expertise.
Skills & Experience
- Proven background as an IFS Service & Maintenance Consultant , ideally within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Completed at least one full end‑to‑end IFS implementation with Service & Maintenance as the primary module.
- Deep functional knowledge of IFS Service & Maintenance processes : asset management, work order management, preventive and predictive maintenance, scheduling / dispatch, and service contract management.
- Strong understanding of module touchpoints, especially with Inventory, Projects, Procurement, HR, and Finance.
- Ability to interpret client operational processes and translate them into effective, scalable IFS solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder and client engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and guide decision‑making.
- Strong documentation, analysis, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Experience supporting testing phases, data migration planning, and go‑live activities.
- Comfortable working across multiple client engagements while maintaining high quality and consistent delivery.
