Our client, a specialised consultancy in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Technical Author for a contract position based in Cumbria. This role involves working on the Sellafield site, utilising SL accommodation, and requires active SC Clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work. The contract is expected to run for 12-18 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating and maintaining essential technical documentation, including Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
  • Playing a proactive role in the validation process of technical documents
  • Contributing to the risk assessment process
  • Ensuring all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with engineering and project teams to gather necessary information
  • Reviewing and revising existing technical documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Providing clear and concise documentation to support the nuclear operations on site
Job Requirements
  • Current SC Clearance is highly desirable
  • Experience in the nuclear industry is essential
  • Proven experience as a Technical Author or similar role
  • Strong understanding of technical writing principles and practices
