Job summary

A leading theatre production company in Brighton seeks a Technical Assistant Stage Manager for the West End musical 'PADDINGTON' at the Savoy Theatre. The ideal candidate will have experience as an ASM on busy shows, possess good technical skills, and thrive under pressure in live environments. Responsibilities include dealing with prop maintenance and managing rehearsals throughout the year. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. This engagement will begin in February 2026 for twelve months.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an ASM on a busy show is essential.
  • Experience and skills in operation and fault finding electronics is highly desirable.
  • Experience calling to music is preferable.

Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for Technical Assistant Stage Manager to work on the West End musical "PADDINGTON" at the Savoy Theatre. We are seeking applications from individuals from all backgrounds, with complementary experience and skills, for the position of Technical Assistant Stage Manager.

Your duties and responsibilities will be those normally expected of a Technical Assistant Stage Manager on a first‑class production. Previous experience as an ASM on a busy show is essential. Skills required include attention to detail, the ability to remain calm under the pressure of a busy live production environment and good all‑round technical skills. Experience and skills in operation and fault finding electronics is highly desirable. The ideal candidate would also have the ability to deal with prop and show maintenance as well as a comprehensive and varied rehearsal process throughout the year. Experience calling to music is also preferable.
