Overview

We are looking for a Social Work Manager to help us on our improvement journey. Come and join us on our Restorative Journey of Improvement to gain the best for children and families in Herefordshire.

Responsibilities
  • Manage one of five social work teams undertaking Safeguarding & Support work.
  • Be experienced in child in need and child protection work, PLO pre-proceedings, care proceedings and adoption work.
  • Hold responsibility for supervising a team of social workers and family support workers with input from a Managing Practitioner within the new locality structure.
  • Provide the highest quality of supervision and case direction, focusing on improving outcomes for children.
  • Be organised, a strong communicator and decision-maker, and work effectively as part of a service management team.
  • Embed good practice with a focus on relationship-based and restorative practice.
  • Be part of Herefordshire’s journey to the next chapter, aiming to have a genuine impact on the local authority and protect children and young people.
  • Operate within the Leominster Multi-Agency Office as the primary base in the northern region, ensuring accessibility and collaboration within the area.
Qualifications
