Role Overview

As the Team Manager - Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our supported living service in Birmingham. You will manage a team of support staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to our service users. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of support staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Ensure the delivery of person-centered care and support to service users
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders
• Monitor and maintain the service's compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the smooth running of the service
• Participate in on-call duties as required
• Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement plans
• Act as a role model for the team and promote a positive and inclusive work culture

Requirements

• Previous experience in a leadership or management role in a similar setting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
