What You Will Do

Lead, manage, and develop the Kinship Team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.

Allocate workloads effectively, ensuring all casework meets the assessed needs of children and their families.

Chair reviews and meetings, providing expert guidance and responding appropriately to complaints and escalations.

Manage and monitor team budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and in line with council guidelines.

Build and maintain strong internal and external professional relationships to promote partnership working and a positive team culture.

Provide high-quality supervision and appraisals, ensuring consistently high standards of social work practice.

Assure the quality and compliance of social work interventions with legislation, statutory guidance, and departmental standards.

Lead on quality assurance activity, audits, and performance monitoring to drive continuous improvement.

Implement service improvements based on performance data, audits, and learning from practice.

Contribute to the development of service policies, procedures, and strategic planning.
