Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care

  • ? Leyland | Full-time (40 hours per week, rota basis including days, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins)

Are you an experienced children’s residential worker ready to take the next step into leadership? We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to support the management and development of a children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for young people aged 11–18.

Key Responsibilities :

Support the Registered and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the home

Lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment

Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices

Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve the best outcomes for young people

Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and organisational procedures

Requirements :

Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)

Previous experience supporting young people in a residential setting

Supervisory or shift-leading experience

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and behaviour management strategies

Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)

Flexibility to work across a 24 / 7 rota, including sleep-ins and cover at other homes if required
