Overview

Location: Rawtenstall, BB4 • Working Hours: 42 hours per week • Salary: £30,554 per annum • Sleep-In Allowance: £78.30 per sleep-in (up to 8 per month, adding £7,516 annually)

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and experienced Team Leaders to join a children's residential care team. This role involves supporting children and young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and may have additional needs such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), or other complex challenges. As a Team Leader, you will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring smooth shift transitions, delegating tasks to support workers, and maintaining high standards of care. You\'ll help children build relationships, engage in community activities, and develop essential life skills. You\'ll also be responsible for safeguarding, overseeing routines, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the home and ensure smooth shift transitions.
  • Delegate tasks to support workers and monitor service delivery.
  • Support children and young people in building relationships, engaging in community activities, and developing essential life skills.
  • Safeguard children and young people, oversee routines, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
What We\u2019re Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in Children\'s Residential Care
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience in a children\'s residential setting
  • Experience in leading a team is preferred
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep-ins (e.g., 8am-10pm plus sleep-in 10pm-7am)
  • Confidence in leading and supporting a team

  • Starting rate of £13.99 per hour (dependent on qualifications and location)
  • Sleep-in bonus: £78.30 per sleep-in (up to 8 per month = £7,516 annually)
