Role: Team Leader

Salary: £13.65 per hour

United Response is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our supported living services in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including Deaf individuals, both in their homes and in the local community.

As a national disability charity, our mission is to ensure the people we support live fulfilling, independent lives. We deliver person-centred, empowering care that helps each individual achieve their goals and aspirations.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Providing direct, hands-on support to the people we support
  • Supervising staff, managing rotas, and overseeing support plans
  • Liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained
What we’re looking for
  • Confidence in mentoring and supporting team members
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • IT literacy and ability to manage administrative tasks
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and occasional sleep-ins
  • Experience supporting Deaf people, or a willingness to learn sign language, is highly valued
