Team Leader - Evenings (Street Cleansing and Waste collections)

Salary Up to £18.40 per hour (depending on HGV driving licence), plus Veolia benefits, monthly bonus allowance

Hours Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Evenings 13:30 pm - 10.00pm plus 2 weekends per month.

Location Newport Place, WC2H 7PR

Responsibilities

• Complete daily checks on vehicles, barrows and other equipment.
• If qualified, drive a HGV truck and assist with loading and sweeping activities.
• Ensure staff are completing their allocated tasks and duties in a timely and efficient manner to maximise productivity.
• Maintain and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Report any vehicle, plant or equipment defects are reported to the line manager.
• Ensure staff are dressed appropriately, in line with Health and Safety.

Qualifications

Essential

• Supervisory/management experience.
• Experience in the waste industry is desirable.
• Previous experience within a similar role would be advantageous.
• Must be flexible in both hours of work and attitude as the job demands.

Desired

• HGV Class 2 licence
• Previous waste management experience
