Teaching Assistant - Primary
Teaching Personnel are looking for caring, proactive, and dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools in and around Stockport, starting from January 2026.
As a Year 5 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children in their first year of Key Stage 2. Your responsibilities will include providing one-on‑one support for pupils, assisting with small group activities, and helping to create a stimulating learning environment. You will play a key role in helping children settle into their school routine and develop the essential skills they need to succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
