A local educational institution in Stockport is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Midday Assistant & Play Worker to support children's development and well-being through engaging and stimulating activities. Teaching Assistant, Midday Assistant & Play worker Level 3

Teaching Assistant

Hours: 22.5 Hours per week. Monday Friday 8.30am 2.30pm. Term time only 44.6weeks

Salary: NJC Scale 3 point 6 £25,989 (actual pro rata £13,517.82)

Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2026

Midday Assistant

Hours: 5 hours per week Monday Friday. Term time only

Salary: NJC Scale 1 point 2 £24,413 (actual pro rata £2,821.81)

Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2026

Play Worker

Hours: 15 hours per week. Monday Friday 3pm 6pm Term time only with flexibility in school holiday periods.

Salary: NJC Scale 3 point 6 £25,989 (actual pro rata £9,011.88)

Contract: Fixed term until 31st August 2026

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 TA & Play Worker to join our team. You will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging, safe, and inclusive play opportunities that support the development and well‑being of children in our care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fun environment whilst making a real difference in young children’s lives through creative and stimulating learning and play activities.

You should have a positive mind-set, the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and staff, be flexible and able to work on your own initiative.

You will:
  • Have a recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education or equivalent): https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualification-requirements-and-standards
  • Have previous experience working with young children in a play or early years setting is desirable.
  • Have a passion for play and child development.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be creative in designing engaging and age‑appropriate activities.
  • Have knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children and families.
