Overview

Forward Education Trust is leading a new teaching assistant role at The Heights Academy in Solihull, permanently 39 weeks per year. The Level 2 Teaching Assistant position will support autistic learners in Key Stage 2‑4.

Responsibilities
  • Support autistic learners in Key Stage 2‑4, engaging them in daily lessons.
  • Assist teachers in classroom management and delivery of curriculum.
  • Implement individualized support plans for each pupil.
  • Provide high‑quality input and encouragement to enable pupils to reach potential.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) demonstrated.
  • Previous teaching experience with children KS 2‑4.
  • Experience in SEND settings and working with children with Autism.
  • Strong communication and team‑working skills.
