Term time only

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Salary Details: £23,996 - £27,770 per annum pro rata dependent on experience

Contract type: Fixed Term until July 2026

Hours: Part-time. 5 days per week (mornings and lunchtimes) 8.45am - 1.30pm

About us

At Haddenham Community Junior School we provide a safe, stimulating and successful environment to enable all children to develop their full potential to prepare them for the next stage of their lives.

We currently have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work with children in Key Stage 2. The post will mainly involve the one to one support of children who require additional emotional and behavioural support to thrive in their learning environment, helping them to work inclusively within the classroom and to assist them with activities outside of class when this becomes a challenge. You may at times also be helping other children to participate in learning activities running intervention groups and providing general support to the teaching staff.

About you

For this post, our ideal candidate will have some experience of working with children in Key Stage 1 or 2 ideally with additional needs. They will demonstrate an understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs and trauma informed practice. Importantly, they will be patient, empathetic and able to think creatively and flexibly to support pupils’ unique needs. It is important that applicants have a love of helping children engage in learning and be happy to undertake any training necessary to run interventions in school.
