Cherry Tree School, Walsall is part a rapidly growing group of independent special schools with locations in Walsall, Staffordshire and Cheshire, providing exceptional, holistic care, education and therapy to children from 4 to 18 with a range of complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties and learning needs. Due to our continued growth we are recruiting for Teaching Assistants.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and staff and the highest priority is given to following all safeguarding guidance and regulations. The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS clearance (with children’s barred list check). We are committed to equality and value diversity.

Are you, passionate about supporting the education of pupils with complex social, emotional, mental health and/or cognition and learning difficulties.

Able to manage pupil behaviour in an environment where physical intervention maybe needed to ensure the safety of children and staff.

And willing to support the personal care needs of pupils.

Qualifications in supporting teaching and learning and/or experience of working with children is desirable, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided. What is important to us is that you have the right attitude and personality to thrive in our school.
