This is more than just a support role. This is about being the steady hand, the encouraging smile, and the person a young learner trusts to guide them through the good days (and the tougher ones too).

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging positive relationships and self-belief
  • Prepare learning materials and resources to bring lessons to life
  • Accompany pupils and staff on educational visits and enrichment activities
  • Occasionally support with transporting pupils (e.g. after detentions or school trips)
  • Keep clear records of student progress and wellbeing, contributing to a holistic picture of each learner
What We’re Looking For

  • Has a calm, patient and caring approach—especially in challenging moments
  • Loves working with young people and is passionate about making learning accessible for everyone
  • Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff alike
  • Has experience working with secondary-age pupils (ideal but not essential)
  • Can work as part of a team but is also confident taking initiative
  • Believes in the potential of every student—and won’t give up on them
