Job description
Teaching Assistant - Support, Guide, Make a Difference (and occasionally find lost glue sticks)

Start: ASAP | Contract: Flexible supply (you choose the days) | Pay: £13.68 - £14.50 Per Hour

The Role

Whether you're decoding phonics in Year 1 or backing up a biology demo in Year 11, no two days as a TA are the same. If you're calm under pressure, quick on your feet, and know that “I don't get it" means explain it three more ways, this might be the perfect role for you.

What You'll Do
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to keep pupils engaged and confident
  • Help teachers with classroom prep—scissors, whiteboard pens, moral support
  • Spot distractions before they turn into interpretive dance mid-lesson
  • Keep a cool head, even when someone puts a pencil in the sharpener the wrong way
  • Be a steady, supportive presence pupils can rely on
What You'll Need
  • Experience working with children or young people—school, sports, or youth work all count
  • A calm, proactive, and patient attitude (bonus points if you've ever survived indoor wet play)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or happy to get one)
  • A sense of humour and a genuine desire to help pupils succeed
What You'll Get
  • Flexible working—set your own schedule and still make time for real life
  • Weekly pay with no umbrella deductions
  • Free CPD in safeguarding, SEN support, behaviour management, and more
  • A down-to-earth consultant who matches you to the right schools—no jargon, just honest support
  • The chance to build your classroom confidence in a variety of friendly settings
