Teaching Assistant

Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Salary: £90 per day
Full‑time, Term‑time only (39 weeks per year)

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and the SEN/inclusion team to provide in‑class and one‑to‑one support to students with a range of needs. You'll help ensure that all pupils—particularly those with SEND or who require additional academic or emotional support—are fully included in school life and able to make good progress.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support students in and out of lessons to access the curriculum and reach their learning goals

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver targeted interventions and differentiated tasks

  • Provide one‑to‑one or small group support where required

  • Foster positive relationships with students and help manage classroom behaviour

  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and activities

  • Contribute to student progress monitoring and feedback

  • Promote the school's values of inclusion, respect, and achievement


The Ideal Candidate Will Have


  • Experience working with children or young people (in school, youth work, or care roles)

  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning

  • Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills

  • An understanding of SEND or a willingness to learn

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A genuine interest in education and young people's development
