Job summary

A local educational authority in Hornsea is seeking a full-time teacher to join Hornsea Nursery School as a SENDCo and Subject Leader for Mathematics. Hornsea Nursery School is an Outstanding maintained nursery school and part of an ambitious, supportive collaboration with Hedon, Bridlington and Beverley Manor Nursery Schools. Together, we champion high-quality early years education, inclusive and relationship-centred practice, and a culture where staff are supported to grow, flourish and lead.

We are seeking an inspiring, reflective full‑time teacher to join our team, taking on responsibilities as SENDCo, Subject Leader for Mathematics, and an active member of our Senior Leadership Team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning while contributing to whole‑school development.

What We Are Looking For
  • A qualified teacher with a strong passion for early years education.
  • A commitment to undertaking the SENDCo role. If you are not yet SENDCo-qualified, you must be willing to complete the national SENDCo qualification.
  • Confidence in leading a subject area - currently mathematics - with creativity, strong pedagogy and a desire to inspire others.
  • A relational, reflective practitioner aligned with our identity as a Trauma‑Informed School.
  • An understanding of, or keen willingness to develop practice linked to, the Neurosequential Model in Education, including restorative and relationship‑based approaches.
  • Someone who contributes thoughtfully and proactively as part of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting the continuous development of our school.
