Overview

Cranford School invites applications for the role of Teacher of Science with a specialism in either Physics or Chemistry to join us in September 2026.

Due to a growing department we are looking for an innovative and inspiring classroom practitioner with an ethos that aligns with the School’s values and aims. They will demonstrate excellent teaching skills and a reflective, life‑long passion for learning, combined with the ability to motivate and inspire pupils and staff alike. They will share our high aspirations and expectations for all our pupils and encourage an engagement with Science throughout the school.

The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Physics or Chemistry to A‑Level and a second discipline to GCSE. Please specify in your application your key stage teaching ability in each area.

A contribution to the extra‑curricular life of the School will also be required.

The successful applicant will join a friendly, supportive, and ambitious team, both within the department and across the school. We welcome applications from ECTs and experienced teachers who have the drive and ambition to ensure the department’s continued success.
