Lordswood Boys' School, Birmingham – Teacher of Humanities (Full‑time, permanent). The role starts in January 2026 and offers a salary that is negotiable for the right candidate. It includes the MPS/UPS plus TLR (based on experience and role level). Applicants must apply by Friday 20 Feb 2026 (Midday) – interview dates will begin the week commencing 2 March 2026 or sooner, depending on the flow of applications.

Your Role / Responsibilities

As a Teacher of Humanities you will:

  • Teach across History, Geography and Religious Education at KS3, with the possibility of KS4 specialism depending on expertise.
  • Design and deliver engaging, thought‑provoking lessons that promote critical thinking and global awareness.
  • Use assessment to inform planning, support progression, and stretch every learner.
  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues to develop high‑quality curriculum resources.
  • Take part in fieldwork, enrichment activities or cross‑curricular projects that bring humanities to life.
  • For those with leadership potential: contribute to curriculum development, lead departmental initiatives or mentor early‑career teachers.
