An independent educational institution in Borstal is seeking an enthusiastic English teacher to join their successful department. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering the curriculum for Key Stage 3 and 4, as well as A-Level English Literature, fostering academic success. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic person to play an active role within our successful English Department to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be a passionate subject specialist with experience delivering the English curriculum across Key Stage 3 and preparing students for GCSE success in Key Stage 4. Experience in delivering A-Level English Literature is also essential. The post holder will also contribute to our co‑curricular and extracurricular programmes.
Founded in 1984, RIC offers a fresh alternative to traditional independent education. We have no uniform and maintain a first-name environment. 425 students from the age of 11 and boarders from 13. Classes are small – an average of eight students per group. The college provides full secondary education (Year 7 to Year 13), intensive one-year A-level and GCSE courses, and has a good track record of excellent results, especially for students aiming at competitive university courses such as Medicine, Law, Veterinary Science and Dentistry.
Deliver the English curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including preparation for GCSE examinations. Teach A-Level English Literature. Contribute to co‑curricular and extracurricular programmes.
Experience delivering the English curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Proven experience teaching A-Level English Literature.
