Role Overview

Aspire People, one of the UK's fastest-growing education recruitment specialists, are partnering with a secondary high school in Stoke on Trent to find a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher for September 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach a wide range of DT disciplines across KS3 and KS4, including Food Technology.

The position is initially for one term, with the likelihood of extending until July 2026, providing stability and a longer-term opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of Design and Technology subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Deliver engaging lessons across multiple disciplines including Food Technology, Product Design, and Textiles.
  • Work collaboratively with a great team within the DT department.
  • Support students in developing both practical and theoretical skills.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology or a related subject.
  • Ability to teach all DT disciplines at KS3 and KS4.
  • ECTs are welcome to apply - we offer full support for early-career teachers.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to student development.
