Job description
Role Overview

This role is to teach Hair and Beauty to KS3/KS4 students. Students have a variety of learning needs and learn in small groups. We are looking for a person to teach in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise engagement and drastically improve the outlook of students' educational journey.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to a small group of learners.
  • Support pupil reintegration into mainstream schools, ensuring they receive the support they need.
  • Collaborate with educational psychologists, SEN coordinators, and external agencies to support pupil progress.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, ensuring all pupils feel valued and supported.
Qualifications
  • Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs in a secondary school, pupil referral unit or special school.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Experience in teaching challenging pupils.
  • Experience in educational development and planning.
  • Ability to provide strategic direction and development on curriculum development and current issues.
  • Knowledge of SEN legislation, county SEN policy and procedures.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
