Tax Telephone Line Adviser – Remote

Clark Wood are delighted to be partnering with an established and growing organisation that is seeking a Tax Telephone Line Adviser to join their dedicated tax advice team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide technical tax guidance across a wide range of issues while benefiting from the flexibility of working from home.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the specialist telephone advice team, you will be the first point of contact for clients, providing clear, practical, and client-focused advice on a broad spectrum of tax matters. You will support partnership and affinity group clients in line with agreed service levels and KPIs, while also contributing to consultancy projects and thought leadership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based advice on a variety of tax matters, including income tax, self‑assessment, corporation tax, SDLT, and more
• Deliver technically robust, pragmatic, and commercially aware advice tailored to client needs
• Assess client queries efficiently, forming clear solutions and practical guidance
• Work collaboratively with consultancy, advice line, and business development teams to ensure consistent delivery and continuity of advice
• Undertake ad‑hoc consultancy projects as required
• Draft topical articles and updates for company website and social media channels
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all client interactions

About You

• CTA or ATT qualified, or equivalent experience gained within a professional firm or telephone tax advisory role
• Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of UK tax issues
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused approach
