Job summary

A group of chartered accountants is seeking a qualified Tax Senior to join their team in Loughton. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, preparing personal tax returns and providing guidance to junior staff. They will ideally possess 3-5 years' corporation tax experience and relevant qualifications. This role involves client liaison and assisting partners with tax consulting, focusing on high-net-worth individuals. Full study support for further tax qualifications is available.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporation tax within an accountancy practice.
  • Qualified by experience or relevant taxation qualifications.
  • Experience in managing a client portfolio is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients as the main point of contact.

Job description

Our Client, a group of chartered accountants are seeking a Tax Senior to join their team in London. Y ou will assist the group in the review and preparation of company, business and personal returns together with accompanying accounts and all necessary reporting documents.

The successful candidate will be a qualified CTA or qualified by experience, they will also have experience in both corporate and personal tax is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact
  • Prepare personal tax returns
  • Review junior staff's completion of personal self‑assessment tax returns
  • Provide guidance, training and support to junior staff Identifying tax planning opportunities for individuals and trusts
  • Assist the partners with tax consulting work relevant to HNWI when required
  • Client, Government department and third party liaison by post, phone and e‑mail in accordance with the client’s standards.
Key Skills and attributes
  • Ideally 3-5 years' corporation tax experience within an accountancy practice
  • CA/ACA /ACCA and/or ATT qualified. Full study support will be provided towards further relevant Tax qualifications
  • Previous experience of managing a client portfolio would be preferred but not essential
  • An excellent grounding in dealing with both Personal Tax issues in a practice environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing, speaking and meeting clients
