Job description
Overview

12 month maternity cover contract with a leading independent E&P company. Seeking an experienced Corporation Tax Specialist, upstream experience is not essential.

Responsibilities
  • UK Tax Compliance and UK Tax Provisioning. Preparing corporation tax returns and computations for UK companies.
  • Preparing all necessary data, examination of technical issues, computation of tax liability using specialist software.
  • Filing corporation tax returns with HMRC, assisting addressing questions from HMRC.
  • Researching/legislative checking of selected tax technical matters relevant to tax return responsibilities.
  • Preparing tax provisioning for inclusion in the statutory accounts legal entities in UK.
  • Preparing the UK group relief and UK corporate interest restriction position of the group.
  • Examining technical issues and analysis of tax legislation to determine the appropriate presentation of specific transactions.
  • Preparing Petroleum revenue tax returns and assisting with all associated PRT compliance (prior experience of PRT preferred but not essential).
  • Preparing Energy Profits Levy calculations for compliance and UK statutory reporting (prior experience of EPL preferred but not essential).
  • Supporting across wider tax function as required.
  • Assisting with tax advisory as required.
  • Assisting with tax compliance as required.
  • Assisting with UK statutory tax provisions.
  • Working with and supporting other members of the wider UK Tax Team.
