Systems Engineer – Hardware In The Loop
Salary: Up to £55,000, with additional benefits including a company bonus, pension, overtime, and flexible working
We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer specialising in Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) for a permanent role based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge systems testing and simulation within a state-of-the-art national facility.
Our client’s mission is to deliver operational confidence through world-class, closed-loop systems performance testing. You will be integral to this mission, working on dynamic, real-time simulations that support system development, performance validation, and trial de-risking. The role involves integrating, maintaining, and operating complex simulation systems to generate crucial data for product enhancement.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess extensive engineering experience, with a solid understanding of system integration, simulation design, and performance analysis. Experience with testing sensors, sub-systems, or debugging interfaces will be highly regarded. You will need to demonstrate a structured approach to problem-solving and be comfortable working across diverse hardware and software platforms.
In this Systems Engineer role, you will:
    Develop and execute real-time simulations based on performance models.
    Conduct experiments using missile hardware and software.
    Analyse missile performance and communicate findings effectively.
    Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure seamless testing processes.
