We are looking for a Systems design Engineer to join a Data Link systems design team leading the delivery of cutting-edge Data Link electronics. Working with an international team across multiple business functions, to lead the development of technology that covers the entire design lifecycle, from Concept to In-service.

What will you do?

• System design activities, working alongside subject-matter experts in data link design
• Verification and Validation: develop comprehensive strategies for verifying and validating the electrical, mechanical, software, and transversal properties the Data Link.
• System Certification support: work alongside the Equipment Design Authority and Test & Evaluation team to provide assurance and certification evidence of the Data Link to facilitate equipment delivery.
• Technical management: successfully leading the systems design and technical trade studies

Skills Required

• Strong systems engineering experience (ideally in a complex hardware, firmware and software system)
• Experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering / SysML and use of Systems Engineering Tools such as IBM DOORS and Rhapsody.
• A desire to develop and grow your systems engineering skills, and to improve the system engineering methods used within the team.
• Experience of managing engineering work packages to deliver value outcomes, including co-ordination of other engineering teams and SMEs.
• Ability to engage with subject matter experts and grow your knowledge of new technical areas.
