2025 sees MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrate its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship… we’re just getting started. The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, and the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives, coming off the back of its second-best season to date in Formula 1. General Summary

Reports to the Trackside Systems Lead Engineer or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK. Supporting all on car and garage electronic systems at race and test events. Responsible for the installation and lifeing management of all Electronics/Systems components. Play an active role in fault investigations and resolutions. Involved in the set-up and pack-up of all equipment before and after an event. Factory tasks include the preparation of electronic parts for the next event as well as the service, maintenance and fault management of sensors, harnesses and garage electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Responsible for the electrical build and disassembly of the chassis prior and post event, including fitting harnesses, sensors, termination of parts on-car, and the mechanical installation of other electronic equipment.
  • Manufacture of small to medium harnesses, sensor termination and test box and leads.
  • Work closely with your car crew pre, during and post event ensuring electronic parts are delivered to the chassis and installed correctly and safely, maintained during the event and removed correctly and made ready for reuse.
  • Ensure standard daily systems technician tasks and additional assigned activities are completed thoroughly and aligned with initial build and event sessions. May include duties outside electronics/systems as part of the Systems Technician role, such as fitting the ES battery, fitting the floor with car crew, T-Tray testing, wheel handling during sessions, and being a member of the pit stop team. Additional tasks may be assigned to assist during time-sensitive situations.
  • Play an active role in electronic fault investigations, permanent rectifications and temporary solutions, maintaining reliability. Work with Trackside Faults team and Systems Engineer to report faults with immediate solutions and permanent fix recommendations.
  • Understand high and low voltage electrical design and navigate electrical system drawings to investigate issues and install components correctly.
  • Attend pre and post event meetings to provide feedback for improvements on on/off car installations, tooling, design standards and operational processes.
  • Use the component Lifing System to manage all electrical parts, monitor lifing transactions, and maintain stock of electrical components, consumables, test equipment and tooling.
  • Procurement of electrical parts; request consumables and parts for tasks, repairs and manufacturing of parts. Maintain current stock of on-car parts and highlight shortages.
  • Pre and post event set-up and pack up of electrical and general garage and office equipment.
  • Promote a safe working environment at the track and in the factory workshop; ensure components, tooling and equipment are in good order and stored correctly.
  • Follow and enforce health and safety regulations at all venues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Trackside Systems Lead Engineer or their designee.
Education and Work Experience

GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required. Further education including Electrical training to HNC level. Knowledge of Raychem systems 25 and previous experience in a high-level motorsport environment are essential. Ideally hold a 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certificate but not essential.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time-sensitive environment is essential. The role may require extensive domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment with machinery, race cars, 7-post rigs, grinding debris and hazardous fluids. All employees must comply with the Company Health and Safety Policy and relevant statutory Health and Safety legislation.
