A pioneering space technology company in London is looking for a System Engineer to design and test plasma propulsion systems. Ideal candidates will have a PhD or Master’s in applied physics or aerospace engineering and a solid understanding of electronics. This role involves multidisciplinary collaboration and hands-on assembly in a fast-paced innovation team environment.
Founded in 2017, ThrustMe is a pioneering space technology company specializing in advanced propulsion systems for small satellites. We are global experts in satellite propulsion, pushing the boundaries of streamlined in-orbit mobility for the rapidly expanding satellite constellation industry.
As a System Engineer you will actively design, build and test new concepts of plasma propulsion systems, closely collaborating with several physicists and engineers in the Innovation team. You will be involved in making proof-of-concept systems of the new company products, validating them and preparing the documentation, as well as creating the company IP elements.
You will work on the projects covering a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines, ranging from chemistry and elementary physics, to electronics and thermal design. You are expected to have a good understanding of electronics, covering basic breadboard design and prototyping/debugging.
