Qualifications

Overview

Bubbles Swim School in Barns Green, West Sussex is looking for an experienced STA/SEQ Level 2 Swim Teacher who also holds the Teaching swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification. You will be able to teach children of all ages and abilities but predominately ages 8 weeks to 14 years old to develop strong swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons
• Create an environment that motivates and encourages swimmers
• Use positive and reinforcing language when providing feedback
• Constant assessment of participant abilities against key Swim England criteria for DD, D and LTS pathways
• Assess swimmers’ abilities during trial lessons
• Provide prompt, regular and accurate feedback

Experience and Qualifications

Experience: Unsupervised enthusiastic delivery of lessons to babies, toddlers and children up to 14 years old for a minimum of 2 years, holding the following qualifications.

• SEQ Level 2 Swim Teaching or equivalent (Essential)
• SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers or equivalent (Essential)
• NRASTC (or equivalent teachers rescue award) (Must be willing to attend a training course, if not already achieved this qualification)
• Up to date/clean DBS check (Essential)

Job Details

• To teach Discovery Ducklings, Duckling levels and Stages 1-5
