Position

Swimming Instructor

Location: Foxhills Club & Resort - Ottershaw Surrey

Type: Casual – term time weekday after school hours

Responsibilities

• Provide group and private lessons where requested or required delivering a high standard of swim instruction at all times ensuring learners are excited and engaged.
• Liaise with the Swim Supervisor to ensure that all learners are placed in the appropriate swim session for their ability and personality.
• Host and attend presentations and award ceremonies which recognise learner achievement.
• Carry out pool supervision at peak times or as required.
• Support the Pavilion team in managing the flow of swimmers through the club to minimise disruption and changing room congestion.

Requirements

• Hold a Level 2 Swimming Instruction Certification and maintain a current National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) qualification and membership of the Institute of Swimming to ensure best practice and compliance.
• Teach and operate in line with ASA best practice guidelines.
• Previous experience in a swimming instructor role.
• Passion for health fitness and providing exceptional service to guests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with a variety of guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
