Overview

Queen Mary University of London Swimming Club is seeking a motivated and experienced Head Swimming Coach to lead our BUCS competitive squad. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, structured training sessions that improve swimmer performance, technical ability, and confidence. The role aims to raise the standard of competitive training by providing technical feedback, motivation, and consistent session delivery. The coach will help create a positive, inclusive, and performance-focused training environment while supporting swimmer development and retention.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver structured, high-quality training sessions to improve swimmer performance, technical ability, and confidence.
  • Provide technical feedback, motivation, and consistent session delivery to raise competitive training standards.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and performance-focused training environment, supporting swimmer development and retention.
  • Work closely with the club committee, taking responsibility for delivering training sessions and supporting the club’s aims and objectives for the academic year.
Contract & Salary
  • Salary: £25 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Location: London – training sessions will take place at Poplar Baths Leisure Centre and Mile End Park Leisure Centre.
  • Contract type: Part time
