Due to the ongoing growth of our sustainability services, we are looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join our highly influential built environment sustainability team in either Bristol or London. You will support and provide specialist input in developing low-carbon, sustainable solutions for projects ranging from organizational strategy to urban regeneration and strategic new settlements. You'll be an integral part of our collaborative and growing team, playing a key role in the development and delivery of exciting, complex projects.
We work with local authorities, universities, developers, and asset managers to shape organizational approaches towards a de-carbonized and climate-resilient future. We are passionate about our work, and we seek someone who shares that enthusiasm!
About you
Your role will include:
- Working closely with project teams to guide development schemes concerning environmental sustainability and carbon management;
- Embedding net-zero principles and climate resilience into developments;
- Undertaking carbon and sustainability assessments, including Energy Strategies, Sustainability Statements, and Whole Lifecycle Carbon Assessments;
- Assisting with bids for future projects;
- Supporting the development of organizational sustainability strategies, helping clients achieve long-term sustainable growth;
- Conducting research to develop innovative services;
- Producing high-quality reports;
- Preparing thought pieces and blogs in your area of expertise;
- Assisting with internal and external presentations; and
- Attending site visits and project meetings.
It is likely that you will:
- Have experience with SAP and SBEM calculations and be familiar with OneClick LCA software;
- Know Overheating Assessments and Circular Economy principles;
- Possess a relevant degree at 2:1 or above and be a member of a relevant professional institution;
- Have good knowledge of the planning system;
- Have a broad understanding of environmental, social, economic, and sustainability trends;
- Have excellent communication skills;
- Be able to build relationships with stakeholders;
- Manage your own time and workload effectively;
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; and
- Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel nationally.
