We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Surface Mount Machine Operator / SMT Operator to join this leading provider of electronic design and assembly services in Widnes, Cheshire.

About the role

As a Surface Mount Machine Operator / SMT Operator, your duties will include:

• The production of high-complexity assemblies using Juki and Europlacer machines
• Kitting and de-kitting of surface mount machines
• Machine operation and programming
• Manual insertion of components
• In-process quality inspection
• Rework

About you

To succeed as a Surface Mount Machine Operator / SMT Operator, you should have previous experience in producing high-complexity assemblies using Juki and/or Europlacer machines, along with experience of all SMT assembly processes. Knowledge of IPC-610 quality standards would be advantageous.

Hours and rewards

The initial working hours are 8 am–4 pm (Monday to Friday), with paid overtime and occasional weekends. After training, shifts may include 6 am–2 pm and 2 pm–10 pm (Monday to Friday). The salary is approximately £20,500 per annum, plus additional benefits.
