Role and location

Job title: Female Support Worker – Runcorn

Locations: Runcorn

Shifts and hours: Our shifts are 24 hours starting at 7am – 10pm, then a sleep shift 10pm – 7am. Expected hours: 24 – 48 per week.

Role: Female Support Worker

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Responsibilities and person you’ll be supporting
  • Who am I? I am a lady in my 30s who has Epilepsy, Learning disabilities, Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus, and I am non-verbal.
  • What challenges do I have? I can display challenging behaviours.
  • What are my aspirations? To continue to live independently, eat a healthy diet, and have days focused on activities.
  • What activities do I like to do? Keep fit, yoga, park visits, safari park, shopping and community outings.
  • How do I get out into my local community? Staff may use a Motability vehicle to access the community.
  • How would I describe myself? Bubbly, energetic, with a good sense of humour; I like routine and getting to know the team.
  • What are some of my long-term goals? To have a positive staff team to help me continue doing fun activities.
Team and shift patterns
  • How many people support me at one time? 2:1 during the day and 1:1 at night.
  • What shift patterns do my team do? 7am to 10pm, with sleep staff overnights until 7am.
  • Team continuity: Members have supported me for several years and you will receive a full introduction and ongoing support.
