Overview

Prospero Health and Social Care is actively seeking experienced staff to support Children and Young Adults in Sheffield and surrounding areas. Are you a dedicated and compassionate support worker looking to make a real difference in childrens lives? This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team committed to providing outstanding care and support for children in need. Every day is different and you will face new challenges. That is why we need staff members with a can-do attitude, that are willing to go above and beyond for the children in their care to better their lives, promoting independence, being a role model and achieving a successful home environment for them to live, in line with local authority care plan.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in line with individual care plans, promoting independence, providing a safe and supportive home environment, and acting as a role model for young people in care.

Requirements
  • 12 months UK paid experience within the health and social care sector (working with children and young adults)
  • Previous experience in a support worker, youth work, or care setting
  • Flexible around travel arrangements
  • Able to work flexibly, including weekends and night shifts when required
  • Resilient and empathetic, with a strong commitment to helping vulnerable young people
  • NVQ Level 3 in children and young people (desired but not essential)
  • Social Care registered
Experience
  • Children and Young People Support: 1 year (required)
Licences/Certifications
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
