Futur3s South West is a dynamic, compassionate organisation dedicated to providing Supported Accommodation for young people aged 16-18 in Taunton, Somerset. We are committed to creating a supportive, safe, and empowering environment for both our young people and our team. We are now looking for caring and motivated individuals to join our team as Support Workers.

About the Role.

As a Support Worker at Futur3s South West, you will be instrumental in helping young people navigate their journey towards independence, providing guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop professionally while contributing to a team dedicated to making a real impact in the lives of vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and Guidance: Offer tailored support and advice to young people in our homes, helping them develop life skills and achieve their goals.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of our young people by adhering to safeguarding policies and providing a safe space for them to thrive.
  • Signposting: Help young people access vital services and resources, ensuring they have the support they need for a successful transition to adulthood.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with company policies, ensuring the highest standards of documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure the highest quality of care and to create a supportive, welcoming environment for both young people and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Compassionate and Motivated Individuals: You should have a genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to helping them succeed.
  • Experience: Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a support environment, such as early years settings, residential homes, or adult care settings.
  • Qualifications: An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided, and successful candidates will be enrolled on their Level 3 qualification after their probation period.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: A Child & Adult Workforce enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and well-being of the young people in our care.

Expected Hours:
A minimum of 40 hours per week for full time. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Overtime available.
