About the Role

We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team in the Redhill area. You will be supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs in supported living and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with complex communication needs, autism, and a range of physical and learning disabilities (neurodiversity).
  • Work as part of a team to promote positive communication and personalised support, enabling individuals to achieve their hopes, goals, and aspirations.
  • Provide practical help with everyday tasks such as meal planning, shopping, and preparing meals.
  • Assist with correspondence including mail.
  • Help maintain independence both within the individual's home and outside of their home.
  • Support individuals with personal care as outlined in their support plan.
  • Assist with overall medication management and administration, including support for PEG (Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) and stoma care when trained to do so.
  • Facilitate access to services such as GP surgeries, shops, and leisure facilities.
  • When trained, support individuals requiring restrictive interventions for complex behaviour needs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and behaviours of concern.
  • Desirable: 3 years experience in the health and social care sector.
  • Desirable: Level 3 health and social care qualification; Minimum Level 2.
  • Desirable: Valid UK driving licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
