The Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll be part of our client’s dedicated support team, providing essential care in their home. You’ll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client.

This post is for 16hrs a week, working on a Thursday and Friday, 8am to 4pm. There is a requirement for you to work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm during school holidays.

About the Client & Your Responsibilities

Our client is a young lady who needs social support to attend activities in the community. She enjoys a wide range of interests including animals, music, art, swimming, forest school and shopping. We are looking for a friendly and supportive support worker who will accompany her and provide companionship.

You will also assist with personal care when needed, including support with getting in and out of the bath and hair washing. Additionally, you will help to prepare meals and share mealtimes with our client to promote a warm and engaging atmosphere.

This post requires travelling into the community, therefore a driver who has access to their own vehicle is preferred.

Training & Support

We provide comprehensive, paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date, covering:

  • Full induction
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • First Aid / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety
  • Client specific training – to be confirmed

All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at £14.00 per hour
