Overview

Looking for a new challenge? Sense is looking for a reliable and motivated Support Worker to join our professional team at our Supported Living Service in Holbeach, Lincolnshire. This is a Permanent role, with both part-time and full-time positions available. We are offering Support Workers £12.50 per hour. You don’t need any previous experience to become a support worker with Sense, as we’ll provide full training for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to residents at the service, including eight individuals who have autism, deafblindness or sensory/complex disabilities.
  • Take part in a range of activities with the individuals and some who attend the Sense day centre and college, such as bowling, ice skating, horse riding, arts and crafts, baking and cooking, and shopping trips.
  • Engage in activity planning and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience of using British Sign Language (BSL) or holding a BSL or Makaton qualification is desirable (or willingness to learn).
  • A full UK Manual Driving license and the willingness to learn and drive the company minibus is required.
  • Shift patterns will vary; you will be required to work some mornings, evenings and weekends.
