About the Role

We are recruiting Support Workers to support young people living in supported living. Many of the young people have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, family breakdown, exploitation, or involvement with the care system. This role focuses on helping them develop the skills, confidence, and stability needed for independent living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build positive and professional relationships with young people
  • Support the development of independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and tenancy sustainment
  • Encourage engagement in education, training, and employment
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, positive routines, and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Support young people with appointments and assessments
  • Work in partnership with external professionals and agencies
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, support plans, and risk assessments
  • Apply trauma-informed and person‑centred approaches
  • Act as a positive role model, providing clear boundaries and consistent support
Candidate Requirements
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people and helping them achieve independence
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting young people's welfare
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts
  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable)

Qualifications are welcomed but not essential. Full training and development will be provided to candidates with the right attitude and commitment.
