Job description
Role overview
  • Key working a caseload of clients across the area, you’ll be given the trust to work autonomously and manage your own schedule
  • Working from home, the office and out in the community, you’ll work proactively to achieve positive outcomes and goals outlined by individuals, by using a creative approach tailored to each person’s needs
  • You’ll have chance to broaden or strengthen your skills in supporting a range of complex of needs, including housing crisis, substance misuse, complex mental health, ACEs, offending behaviour etc.
  • You’ll develop / strengthen your understanding of ACEs, and will work with a trauma informed approach and in a physiologically informed environment
  • Further enhance your relationship building and partnership working skills, by promoting your services and working closely relevant local agencies such as the local authority, specialist charities, education and training providers, probation, social services, and housing provisions etc.

  • A non-judgemental mindset and an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma
  • A forward-thinking and resilient attitude, to overcome the barriers and setbacks you will face
  • A strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations
  • Experience in support work or housing, with an understanding of housing options, housing law and basic benefits
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car

On Call

Required to be part of the first tier on call rota, including telephone and in-person support. Support Workers provide On Call support and advice for colleagues, with issues and emergencies they may need to deal with. This may require providing some shift cover / out of hours project attendance where alternatives are not possible.

  • Additional payment of £96 for on call

Any shift completed voluntarily or as part of on call will be paid in addition to your salary at relief rates;
