A leading care provider in the UK is seeking Support Workers to enhance the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, teaching life skills, and encouraging participation in community activities. We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands‑on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!
Our supported living service Weaver House in Bulkington is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in the local community, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.
This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
• Assist and support individuals in developing independence in daily living activities.
• Teach new life skills and personal care.
• Encourage participation in local community activities.
• Socialise and engage in a variety of recreational activities such as playing video games, watching films or cinema outings.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and behaviours of distress.
• Resilient, flexible and composed approach.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Full UK driving licence.
