Please note, at this stage, the role is open only to internal staff (including NHSP and Agency staff currently on placement within our organisation) and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any individual who is at risk of redundancy will be given priority, provided they meet the essential criteria.

About the Role

Do you want to be part of something new and exciting, a person‑centred mental health revolution? The Kent and Medway Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) services are stand‑alone, holistic multidisciplinary teams which provide a distinct care pathway including assessment and treatment to people aged 14 to 65 who are suspected of having a first episode of psychosis (FEP).

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the assessment and duty function of the service which is East Kent wide.
  • Support all EIP localities to meet the needs of the service.
  • Provide recovery‑focused mental health interventions to service users.
  • Provide practical support with daily living.
  • Facilitate service users to live fulfilling lives.
  • Help service users access resources in the community.
  • Support physical health monitoring of patients via phlebotomy and ECGs.
  • Assist the duty team in the assessment of new referrals.
  • Support service users with budgeting, housing and employment issues.
  • Support service users to engage in leisure activities.
  • Collaborate with EIP service users to promote engagement and facilitate an optimum level of independence and self‑management.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 applies).
  • Eligibility is limited to internal staff and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB).
  • Priority given to individuals at risk of redundancy.
