Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Team Leader to join our team in Wareham on a part‑time basis.

As a Support Team Leader you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the service with a strong focus on promoting the growth and independence of the people we support.

Working closely with the Deputy Manager you will lead by example, model best practice and provide daily support guidance and clear direction to your team.

Responsibilities
  • Support the smooth running of the service and promote the growth of the people we support.
  • Work closely with the Registered Manager, demonstrating best practice.
  • Provide guidance and direction to colleagues and new starters.
  • Continuously review Max care plans, ensuring exciting updates and progress are always recorded.
  • Complete medication audits and order medication when needed.
  • Be on call on a rota basis.
  • Manage staff spot checks.
Hours

26.5 hours per week, involving a mixture of shifts between 8 am and 10 pm, Monday to Sunday. You will be required to work alternate weekends and complete sleep‑ins (sleep‑ins come with an additional payment).

Qualifications and Skills
  • Level 2 Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience with Autism and working with challenging behaviour.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and other professionals.
  • Administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including sleep‑ins and on‑call shifts.
  • Independence and teamwork ability.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
